What is NDIS Capacity Building?
NDIS Capacity Building is about helping participants develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to engage with their world and achieve their personal goals. At Insight Therapies, we focus on building long-term capacity in a way that is practical, empowering, and person-centred. We’re here to ensure you not only receive the support you need but also gain the tools to advocate for yourself, make informed choices, and live a life that reflects your true potential.
How We Support You
Our approach to Capacity Building goes beyond simply providing services—it’s about offering holistic support that considers all aspects of your life. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, mental health challenges, neurodiversity, or social exclusion, we work with you to develop strategies that build your emotional resilience, social connections, and functional skills.
Key areas of our support include:
-
Holistic Capacity Building: Our social workers and therapy team work with you to address emotional, social, and functional needs, helping you develop the skills you need to engage meaningfully with your community and the world around you.
-
Trauma-Informed Care: Many participants have experienced trauma, which can affect their emotional regulation and ability to engage with others. Our social workers are trained in trauma-informed care, ensuring that you receive compassionate and empowering support in a safe and respectful environment.
-
Social Inclusion and Confidence Building: We focus on improving self-esteem, social skills, and emotional resilience so that you can connect with others, engage in your community, and build meaningful relationships. Our goal is to help you feel included, valued, and empowered.
-
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs): We offer comprehensive FCAs designed to evaluate your strengths, challenges, and support needs across multiple areas of life. These assessments are holistic and tailored to ensure that the recommendations align with your unique circumstances.
